Today, I had the pleasure of moderating an amazing session on "Secrets of Great Achievers and Communicators" with a distinguished guest speaker. The session was insightful and inspiring, and I'm excited to share some key takeaways.

Title: "Secrets of Great Achievers and Communicators" 

Introduction:

The "Secrets of Great Achievers and Communicators" webinar was held on Zoom on February 18th, 2023. The event was hosted by Ms. Agnes Igoye, Chief Mentor and Patron of YPMP, and moderated by Ms. Charlotee Ajiko, Mentor (YPMP). The Guest speaker was Ms. Salwa Mansuri, a renowned expert in communication and leadership skills, and the founder of Re(for you)gees, an Indian-based Social enterprise that aims to economically and culturally integrate refugees in host countries through the production of sustainable educational materials.  The aim of the webinar was to provide insights into the secrets of great achievers and communicators and how these skills can be learned and practiced.

 

Attendance:

There were a total of 35 attendees at the webinar, including professionals from various fields, educators, students, and individuals interested in improving their communication and leadership skills.

 

Agenda:

The webinar was divided into three parts:

 

Part 1: Introduction and Overview

As the Moderator, l welcomed the attendees and introduced the topic of the webinar as well as provided a brief overview of the agenda, and introduced the guest speaker.

 

Part 2: Guest Speaker's Presentation

Ms. Salwa Mansuri gave a 45-minute presentation on the secrets of great achievers and communicators. The presentation covered the following topics:

 

The 5 elements of a Niche (minimal competition, strong market demand, high-profit potential, professionally and personally satisfying)

Cultivating Your Niche (Writing and Publications, Networks, Research Activities, Internships, Mentorship Programs, Writing Feedback)

The common traits of great achievers and communicators

How to develop communication and leadership skills

The importance of empathy, active listening, and authenticity in effective communication

How to overcome common communication barriers, such as fear of public speaking and lack of confidence

 

Part 3: Q&A Session

The Q&A session lasted for 30 minutes, during which the attendees asked the Guest Speaker questions on the presentation and the topic of communication and leadership in general. I moderated the session, ensuring all questions were addressed and the conversation remained productive.

 

Conclusion:

In conclusion, the webinar was a success, with attendees gaining valuable insights into the secrets of great achievers and communicators. The presentation by Ms. Salwa Mansuri was informative and engaging, providing attendees with practical tips on how to improve their communication and leadership skills. The Q&A session was also productive, with attendees asking insightful questions and receiving helpful responses from the guest speaker. Overall, the webinar was an excellent opportunity to learn about effective communication and leadership, and we look forward to hosting similar events in the future.
